MDCAT (NUMS)-2023 shall be held on Sunday, 03 September 2023. Subject test is mandatory for admission in all the above mentioned medical and dental colleges.

Basic Qualification/Eligibility:-

• The Candidates having valid citizenship of Pakistan/Overseas Pakistanis/Dual Nationals/ Foreign Nationals can appear in MDCAT (NUMS)-2023
• F.SC/HSSC/A-levels/12th Grade, awaiting result, can also apply.
• Only MDCAT being held on 03 September 2023 will be valid for admission in MBBS/BDS Session 2023-2024.
• Foundation University College of Dentistry, Islamabad
• HITEC Dental College, Taxila Cantt

Entry Test Cities/Stations:-

MDCAT (NUMS)-2023 will be conducted at following cities/stations (depending upon the viable number of applicants).

Choice of Local Center:-

The Candidates must select any two of the above mentioned cities/stations in order of preference for appearance in the entry test. However, based upon seating capacity available in a station, the university reserve the right to shift any candidate to another nearest city/station. The candidates are advised for their own convenience to choose cities/stations nearest to their residence.

Pattern of MDCAT (NUMS)-2023:-

MDCAT shall comprise of two components:-

1. PART ‘A” (95% weightage)

(a) Shall consist of 150 ‘one best option type’ Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)with stipulated time of 150 minutes with the following breakdown:

• Biology 35%
• Chemistry 25%
• Physics 25%
• English 10%

1. PART ‘B” (05% weightage)

(a) Shall consist of 100 ‘one best option type’ Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)with stipulated time of 30 minutes.

(b) There Shall be no negative marking.

Syllabus of MDCAT (NUMS)-2023:-

Exam is competitive for which the syllabus will be available on NUMS website. The candidates are advised to have a board based study and not restrict themselves to limited syllabus only.
